I am a Health, Safety, Environment and Assurance Specialist at Network Rail, and an Independent Historian.

Selections from "The Wellsian"' (2007), 'The Reception of H. G. Wells in Europe' (with Patrick Parrinder, 2005) and '"The Wellsian": Selected Essays on H. G. Wells' (2003).
I am currently researching the reception and influence of Clara Zetkin in British politics.
I am a keen traveller, having lived in Canada and the UK, and visited the USA, Germany, Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Poland, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Portugal, Norway and Austria.
